Why climbing and bouldering gyms choose JustWaiver
Weekday evenings are your rush, and the front desk is the choke point: belay checks, rentals, day passes, and a line of people who still need to sign. Move the waiver upstream. New climbers sign from the link on your booking page or a QR at the door, so the desk handles climbing, not clipboards.
Falls, dropped gear, and rope or belay mistakes are the risks you train against every day. Your waiver is the paper trail that backs it up — so it should be searchable, versioned, and timestamped, not stuffed in a binder. JustWaiver pins each signature to the exact text in force and emails the climber a copy. Your wording, reviewed by your attorney; our job is the rest.
The problem with paper
Where the clipboard slows climbing and bouldering gyms down
The 6pm desk bottleneck
Belay checks and signatures collide at peak. Pre-arrival waivers take signing off the desk's plate.
Annual re-signs slip through
Members who signed last year may be overdue. Expiry reminders go out on their own.
Intro classes need fast sign-off
A class of beginners shouldn't start late. Everyone signs from the class booking link.
FAQ
Climbing Gyms waiver questions
- Do climbers need to re-sign each year?
- You set the validity. When a waiver nears expiry, JustWaiver emails the climber a reminder with a link to sign again — no manual tracking.
- Can members and day-pass climbers use the same flow?
- Yes. Share the link on your booking page for both, or run a kiosk at the entrance for walk-ins.
- Are electronic climbing waivers enforceable?
- They are under ESIGN/UETA when intent, consent, the record, and a retainable copy are captured. JustWaiver captures all four with an audit trail. It's software, not legal advice.
- Can we collect waivers for a youth class?
- A guardian signs for each minor climber, individually or as a group, from their phone.
- How much does it cost?
- Free for 25/month, then $19/$39/$79 a month for 200/1,000/5,000 waivers, with overage and annual discounts.
